ANISHA
Anisha Kumar is a director, actress and filmmaker. Her goal is to create work that people can see reflections of themselves in, with the hope that it will encourage them to embrace both the beauty and messiness of the human condition.
In 2024, she was selected as one of six directors in the Reelworld Director’s Immersion Program. She directed and was the DoP of the short film, “Phobophobia”, which won the ACTRA 24 hour film challenge and was showcased in the GAFTFEST film festival in Jamaica.
Anisha honed her unique skillset and approach to storytelling through her diverse experiences in fashion, visual art, music, and working in the financial Industry. Anisha holds a CPA designation and is a self taught multi-disciplinary artist.
She is a member of the DGC. Her on set experience includes working as an assistant director for projects including The Man from Toronto with Kevin Hart, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah with Adam Sandler and shows like Titans and Children Ruin Everything Season 2.
Anisha’s artwork has been showcased in exhibitions across Canada including the Propeller Gallery Exhibit in Toronto and the Raw Artist’s showcase in Montreal. See her artwork here
Anisha has experience working in wardrobe for film as well as designing clothes through her eponymous clothing brand. She showcased her brand’s collection at Toronto Fashion Week. See her clothing line here.
